Twins, Tabitha and Tallulah Makepeace, are inseparable. They've grown up in Truelove Hills; work in their father's public house and even live above it. The only time they've been away from home was when they went to art school in London - which, of course, they went to together. Now at twenty-three years' old, their lives could be considered boring. Romance is considerably lacking; working behind the bar with Steve and Bruce Copperfield is a chore. Bruce still holds a light for Tallulah after a brief fling months ago, and Tabitha put a stop to Steve's advances before they even got off the ground. However, there's help on the way; Lady Leticia Lovett is keen to see the two youngest Makepeace girls settle down like their elder sisters, Hannah and Matilda. The new nursery manager, Miss Mae, also wants to lend a helping hand. Between them, Lady Lovett and Miss Mae organise a Matchmaking event at Chateau Amore de Pebblio for the August Bank Holiday weekend. Tallulah is reluctant to attend, but Tabitha is willing to give it a go. Little do they know it will be a weekend that will change their lives forever.
