The object of "Going to Grandma's: A Thanksgiving Game" is to arrive at Grandma's house before the roast turkey dinner is ready. Can you help? The bear family is walking to Grandma's house through the woods to share a big Thanksgiving dinner. Which way should they go? They have to cross the river, but sometimes the bridge is out! A row boat can help them get across if they can find one. If not, they will have to find another path. Will they get sidetracked at the eagle's nest or the apple tree? Will they all make it in time?
Going to Grandma's is a cooperative game, meaning all the players work together. Everyone wins (or loses) at the same time when everyone has arrived at Grandma's house in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Research shows that cooperative games foster friendships and help to prevent bullying.
