Publisher's Synopsis
In the Lone Star noir comic thriller Live from the Boneyard, Rohypnol-packin' renegade fashion model Sloane Kessler is blackmailing Texas gubernatorial candidate Will Wright with photos she took that show the politician as a strange bedfellow indeed: Wright in a compromising position with an amorous buck deer. Sloane's goal: to raise $500,000 for a wildlife organization. Wright's Machiavellian campaign manager will use any means--including a shadowy facilitator known as "the Handyman"--to find and silence Sloane before she makes the photos public just before Election Day. Meanwhile Gideon Duffy just wants to write another novel; Gideon's uncle Willard just wants to re-enact another famous outlaw gunfight; Curtis Lee Ratliff just wants to hold up another liquor store; and cat burglar Dewayne Brinkley just wants to break into another house. After Brinkley steals Sloane's computer containing the Will Wright blackmail photos, the blackmailer becomes the blackmailed, and the crooked finger of fate points all concerned toward a fresh grave in a ghost town cemetery in Jack County.
