James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok was one of the greatest legends of the Wild West. In the spring of 1869 he returned to his boyhood home in Northern Illinois. "Wild Bill's" Mother Polly described his stay in a letter she wrote to Hickok's brother Lorenzo. In this booklet the authors interpret Polly's letter and describe Hickok's visit. This booklet also contains several unique photographs.
