Translation of thirteenth century Eddiac poetry from original Iclandic language containing creation stories, myth, and heroic tales in complex poetry and song. An unknown Icelandic scribe collected over two dozen poems from oral tradition and placed them into a single volume which became known as the Elder Edda. They encapsulate the heart of the Northern tradition, specifically as practiced during the Viking Age.
