Memories of Kurt Volkert, an American TV journalist who was born in Germany and immigrated to the USA at age 20. One year later he joined the US Army and served for ten years as a cameraman in the Signal Corps. Afterwards he became a TV cameraman at CBS News and reported on many crises and wars throughout the world. Today he lives as a painter in Königswinter / Bonn, Germany.
