Publisher's Synopsis
August, 1990. James McCracken, a suave, sixty-year-old art dealer (of sorts), and Charlie Skidmore, a few years his junior and a small-time con man, bump into each other in the bar of Edinburgh's Waverley Station. Charlie tries to exercise his pick-pocketing talents on James, but comes off second best. Unknown to each other, they board the same Inverness-bound train.
