The most hapless barber in Scotland is back behind the chair, handing out the finest haircuts ever seen in the western hemisphere, in the follow-up to 'The Cutting Edge of Barney Thomson'. Having tried to hand himself in to the police, and been rejected as just another Barney Thomson amongst many thousands, Barney returns to what he does best. However, in trying to come to terms with his murder-ridden past, he foolishly joins the nearest branch of Murderer's Anonymous, bringing him once more into contact with the deranged, the criminally insane and the out and out sadistically naughty. In minutes there is a killer reducing the population of Glasgow on a daily basis, and Barney is soon caught up in this tangled web of death, butchery and Elvis.
