Publisher's Synopsis

Kate, an Australian with an English background, is a photographer who only photographs water; Ha is a Vietnamese translator who has migrated to Australia and feels that language has drained from her. Together these two women shift between dream and memory, past and present, English and Vietnamese, as they struggle to come to terms with the duality of their lives and their histories. Linking the two women is the mysterious disappearance from a ferry of a mutual acquaintance -- all that remained was a suitcase of neatly packed clothes (1 act, 2 women).
