Charlie Cougar finds himself in another assignment for Sam Light-which may be the oddest one yet. It seems that some teenagers in Santa Rio get their kicks out of putting wheels on the bottoms of unused coffins and racing them down hills. He pays a visit to the wealthy town's cemetary, Green Pastures. While he's investigating an area reserved for Indian burials he discovers a body inside a coffin.
As Cougar starts to unravel the murky details of shady land deals and looks into the death of Big Buddy Bigelow, he finds himself in the path of danger one too many times. Will he be able to outsmart the people behind the mysterious deaths, or will he be racing for his life?
