Publisher's Synopsis
Chip Bennett Jr. was "The Kid" to the men of Montana's Flying U, a boy eager to learn everything he could. Then he went away to college. He came home to a reunion of the old bunch and found shocking change - his heroes and mentors had aged and "gone Hollywood" on him. He felt like a stranger, fought with Chip Sr. about riding that summer with his college rodeo team at the Chicago National Championships, and finally in defiance headed east with his ponies, pledged to ride all the way. That was only the first of many challenges Kid Bennett would face in his zeal to prove he had come of age.
