Publisher's Synopsis
Twins Tanwen and Donna Evans are as different as chalk and cheese. Tanwen is a bubbly extrovert, slim and sharp as a needle. Donna is plain, placid and shy, as sturdy and useful as a pin. In 1924, when they are both fourteen, they become apprentices at The Cardiff Drapers, where Tanwen eventually becomes the store model. Their mother, Gwyneth, insists that Donna accompanies her sister on dates, but it isn't until she meets Dylan Wallis that Donna falls in love. Then Tanwen sets her heart on Dylan, with disastrous consequences for them all...
