The "New View" series offers dramatic new perspectives of popular topics. The illustrations, presented in a variety of unusual ways, are designed to both stimulate interest and knowledge. Each of the books begins with a double-page presenting a complete overview of the subject which is then followed by spreads which highlight the different aspects of the subject. This particular book looks at planet Earth and goes from the top of a volcano, through the underground layers of the Earth to the flaming core.
