Publisher's Synopsis
It is the late 1930s and war is looming. Iris Black falls for Johnny Fenwick and eventually spends the night with him but then she's devastated when she finds out his father manufactures armaments. She decides she can't marry the man she thought she loved, and leaves Johnny to go to train as a nurse.
