When Larry Ashfield travels from England to Buzzard's Bend in Arizona to claim his inheritance, he finds that the town's shyster lawyer, Cliff Makin, has cheated him out of it. Seemingly lacking the will to fight back, Larry is humiliated and almost killed, until the worm turns with a vengeance.
