Publisher's Synopsis
Before there was Kindergarten and play-school and Mother's Day Out, there were neighborhoods and neighbors. It was a time when kids in the neighborhood not only had each other but they also had access to the "grown up." These grown ups helped raise the children who lived around them and the children helped the grown ups stay young. This is a story of one of those children. This five-year-old toured the neighborhood each day. She visited with the grown ups and learned from them at the same time they gave her the attention that she craved. It was a magical time.
