This software programme for medical spell checking contains over 300,000 medical and pharmaceutical terms. It also provides 45,000 eponymic terms, 40,000 surgery and surgical terms (including instruments, equipment, devices and procedures), and 20,000 trade and generic drug names. A drug capitalization check facility flags any generic drug names which appear capitalized in text or trade names which appear in lower case, and corrects both ways for faster spell checking. Users can also chain several dictionaries, and build a customizable professional spell checker designed specifically to meet their document preparation needs.
