An ancient volume identifies the mirror as a magical object of the Aztec god of darkness: anyone who looks into it will see his or her fate - and can be manipulated by the evil god, who is seeking to regain his former power. Buffy and her friends are plunged into a ferocious battle between light and darkness in the shadow of a massive Aztec temple - a fight that ends in the heart of a volcano!
