In its time the Hellmouth that lies beneath the small town of Sunnydale, California, has drawn vampires, witches and other demonic forces to its powerful vortex. Now it has also drawn the attention of an ancient sect of Druids, who have travelled from their ancestral home in Wales to ally themselves with Buffy in her battle against the Undead. Cloaked in darkness, wrapped in mystery, the Druids descend on Sunnydale ready to perform their rituals to summon forth a new world order, free from the evil that plagues Buffy's nights. But victory cannot be won without sacrifice. Who or what will it be? And the Slayer has more immediate concerns: someone is after her friends. Cordelia, Xander and Oz all fall victim to a mysterious spell. It's up to Willow and Giles to find the cause, while Buffy stands between the Mouth of Hell and the New Dawn.
