Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Vaughan's Gardening Illustrated, 1923
The loss and destruction of large acreages of cab bage by the disease called yellows in the commercial growing sections of Southern Wisconsin caused an investigation by the plant pathologists of the Univer siry of Wisconsin. Prof. L. R. Jones was first to find the cure by selecting and breeding yellows disease proof varieties. No claim is made of freedom or immunity from other diseases, such as Clubfoot, stem rot or black rot. Large crops have been grown on yellows infected land from disease resistant seed, where other varieties partially or entirely failed. Yellows disease is prevalent throughout the Mid central States.
