from 22nd April, 1914, until the close of the war on 11th
November, 1918.
Denis Kelly went to war on the day his wife gave birth
to a healthy boy, and through sheer luck and good fortune
did survive the war having experienced the horrors that
were the Retreat from Mons, Ypres, The Somme,
Langemarck, La Cateau, Loos, Messines, St Quentin and
much, much more.
This is a vivid account of what he went through during
four years of heinous tragedy.
