Publisher's Synopsis
Even your closest friends can demolish your heart!
Five months after her father's fatal car wreck, 17-year-old Majesty Alistair is still running from the grief nipping at her heels. Luckily, distractions abound. She has a championship baseball team to see into the playoffs as manager, her mom's new "companion" to not gag over, and a stupid crush on her uninterested BFF Derek to squash.
All her priorities get sidelined, though, when she overhears two fellow students planning a church shooting. Having only caught bits and pieces, she doesn't have the vital details on who, what, when, or where.
Hounding the police with her suspicion over her father's crash and other possible crimes-in-the-works has totally ruined her cred with cops, so, she leaves an anonymous tip and strives to uncover something more substantial in order to I.D. the faceless nutjobs before they act. But, their real agenda turns out to be far bigger than she dreamed, and she becomes the centerpiece in a ruthless game that casts even her closest friends under suspicion.
