This volume is part of a series designed to give children aged seven to 11 wide-ranging exposure to literature and opportunities to explore the various genres. Titles in the series are organized by reading genre within the range specified in the National Curriculum. There is a detailed introduction and explanation for each genre and each book contains a number of entertaining examples of text from each genre.
