Publisher's Synopsis
The Doctor is keen to put a stop to the pioneering experiments of Roger Bacon. It is 1278 and Bacon is living among Franciscan friars who consider him to be an heretic embarrassment. When a friar is found dead, they are keen to implicate Bacon.
