The words Of Jesus haire been taken as the lesson of the day. They are dis tributed in thirty-one sections, the first twenty being from the earlier Gospels, and the remainder from that of John. It is hoped that this arrangement will prove a convenient one for those schools in which all the classes are engaged at once upon the same course Of lessons in the Gospel. The passages Of Scripture which follow have been carefully arranged, so as to be read alternately (if desired) by the head and the members of the school, or family. Twenty of them consist of selections from the Psalms; and the remainder, from the later writings of the New Testament.
