It is to be regretted that their choice had not fallen on one Who had the advantage of a longer the departed than I could look back upon. The privilege of forming friendship With him Was only afforded me during his brief sojourn in the 'metropolis previously to his sailing for Tahiti. But he was one of those genuine.
