Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Farm Poultry Management: January 1964
Roasters and capons are best suited for farm production. Roasters are 3 to 5-month old chickens that weigh 5 pounds or more; capons are 6 to 7 month old chickens that weigh 7 pounds or more. The per-pound and per-bird costs of raising these tender-meated, heavy-weight chickens are higher than the corresponding costs of raising broil ers. Therefore, roasters and capons sell at a higher price per pound. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
