As for bibliography, La Maison da chat-qui-pelote, under the title above referred to, saw the light first with other Scenes de la Vie Priv�e in 1830. But it was not dated as of the previous year till five years later, in its third edition; while the title was not changed till the great collection itself. Of its companions, Le Bal de Sceaux was an original one, and seems to have been written as well as published more or less at the same time.
