Publisher's Synopsis
This book is an IBM-PC-based simulation which gives business students and professionals hands-on experience by having them "manage" a firm over a period of time. Users will deal with changes in the business environment brought about by decisions they make or by changes in the overall economy in which the industry is functioning. Unlike more traditional methods of teaching financial management, this method integrates financial policies and strategies with other functions such as marketing, production and overall economic conditions. The simulator allows the instructor to place a large number of decisions outside students' control, allowing them to focus on selected issues at any given time. Credit policy, for example, may be altered within the context of the firm's marketing strategy without worrying about capital expenditure or finance decisions.;A flexible and effective way of acquainting students with the demands of today's business environment.
