As children, they'd called themselves the Byker Chapter: six boys and a girl who'd grown up together on the back streets of Newcastle. Now, all Richard Eden has left is his memories - and one special photograph. Suddenly, impossibly, one by one the images in the photograph begin to fade as if his friends had never existed.
