Fresh meat could be supplied directly from refrigerator cars, and such special bread as required could be shipped from Gettysburg; the ordinary garrison or field bread would be furnished from the field bakery.

It is estimated that the cost of the ration would be about 30 cents. The estimated cost for meals for four days for-the veterans and seven days for the cooks, bakers, etc. Will be approximately as follows: Meals.
