Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from Chronicles of Glenbuckie

IT may be said in introducing these Chronicles that the characters depicted in them lived, moved, and had their being in a parish covering an area Of less than twenty-five square miles. Glenbuckie may, however, be taken as typical Of many other parishes in Scotland during the same eventful years. The period of time embraced is that between the passing of the Reform Bill in 1832 and the Disruption Of the Church of Scotland in 1843.
