About the Publisher
Perigee Books, originally created as the trade paperback imprint for G. P. Putnam's Sons, has featured an eclectic range of titles from virtually every category of publishing, both fiction and nonfiction. One of the earliest, William Golding's Lord of the Flies, is now the only work of fiction on the list. Perigee's publishing program has evolved to fulfill its mandate to be useful, useless, creative, and curious. Publishing in both hardcover and paperback formats (as well as original eBooks), Perigee features a range of prescriptive non-fiction, self-help and how-to books, guides to creativity, and popular reference. The list also features a line of illustrated gift and craft books.
