This book comprises of nine treatises composed by Saint Jerome, from the "Principal Works" of the saint translated by W. H. Fremantle. Useful for theologians, historical students, or the general reader, the treatises include writings on the life of multiple saints most notably Saint Paul the Hermit, and the perpetual virginity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Saint Jerome also writes against heresies such as those of the Pelagians, who stressed the goodness of human nature without Divine aid, and the freedom of the human will.
