Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Greville, or a Season in Paris, Vol. 3 of 3
Greville quitted the Abbey, - a spot to which he hall conceived the strongest aversion. A few days before, on arriving there, he had contemplated the beauties of the place with triumph; as a scene to which he was about to transplant the persons dearest to him, to whom the delicious home scenery of an English park, with its majestic timber and grassy glades, must afford a new sense of enjoyment. But now, in his altered state of feeling, he threw himself into a corner of the carriage, as though eager to shut out all view of a place to which he was attached by ties fraught with dishonour.
