On peut etudier son histoire en Italie durant six siecles et suivre les transformations qui firent peu a peu de croyances naturalistes tres primitives des mysteres spiritua lises, qu'on tenta d'opposer au christianisme. Nous essayerons d'esquisser ici les phases successives de cette lente metamor phose.
