The plan and scope of the present work would not permit of any detailed application of its prin ciple of Self-realisation to practical problems and policies. Thus, in dealing with the problem of conditions, I have demonstrated that the ideal of Socialism is identical with the ideal of Individual ism, but I have not put forward any clear and definite proposition of the manner in which these warring principles can be reconciled. By what force and inspiration of the Will, by what forms of social and economic readjustment that end can be attained, I purpose to make the subject of my next work, which will be called The Social ism of the Real Christ.
