Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Numerical Methods for Solving Inverse Eigenvalue Problems
A slight reformulation of describes the additive inverse eigenvalue problem, which arises in the solution of inverse Sturm Liouville problems. In practice it happens frequently that only some eigenvalues are given. However, for the purpose of analysis it is convenient to consider the case where the number of parameters, eigen values and the order of the matrices is the same.
