Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Weekly Station Reports of the Division of Dryland Agriculture: September 5, 1936
Corn fodder has been harvested, and fall plowing was begun under conditions too dry for an ideal job, many plats turning up in a very cloddy condition. With cooler temperatures and light rainfall there is some revival of crested Wheatgrass, which has been dormant since early in June. It appears doubtful if much improvement of the range can be expected before winter. A.few local farmers are putting up Russian-thistle hay, although in general the total volume of winter feed from this source will be relatively small. Construction of stock reservoirs in various parts of the county by relief agencies is anticipated within the near future.
