Excerpt from Land-Grant College Radio Hour, 1931

From chicago, where the Association of land-grant Colleges and Universi ties will sit in session on November 16, 17, and 18, will come the next land grant college radio program. The date, as announced previously, will be Monday, November 16. In December, the usual custom of broadcasting these programs on the fourth Saturday in each month will be resumed. How the West is meeting its current agricultural problems, will be told by President Kerr of Oregon. President Knapp of Alabama will outline the South's program for overcoming for sign competition for the cotton markets of the world and for improving southern standards of rural life. The contribution that the land-grant institu tions are making to the basic industries of the Nation during this crucial time, will be discussed by President Rightmire of Ohio.
