Zu der Keckheit Apers bildet die Schüchtern heit und Behutsamkeit dieses Mannes einen Gegensatz, dessen Schärfe dadurch nicht beeinträchtigt wird, dass Secundus, soweit uns der dialogus erhalten ist, nur an der einleitenden Unterhaltung (cap. 3, 5 und 14) Theil nimmt.
