The State of Missouri took advantage of the provision of this act of Congress and estab lished The Missouri State Military School at the University of Missouri where the College of Agriculture wac established, and where instruo tion in mechanic arts was given in the School of Engineering. Missouri was one of the first states to comply With the Morrill Act.
