Il padre ve l'aveva mandato pi� per fine di mantenersi benevolo quel re potente che per necessit� d'im parar l'arte, perch� chi aveva per padre Cosimo, non aveva bisogno di Fi lippo. Giovanni, che gi� era quantunque ancora molto giovinetto, cardinale, Garzia, Ferdinando e Pietro se ne stavano in Toscana.
