But, what is more to our purpose, we have a sum mary of his Christian creed in his own words, viz Being heartily sorry for my past sins, and earnestly desiring forgiveness of the same from Almighty God through the merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer, I trust to have full forgiveness Of all my sins and be assuredly saved, and at the general resur rection my soul and body shall rise with joy.
