Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from California Journal of Mines and Geology, Vol. 30: Quarterly Chapter of State Mineralogist's Report XXX; January, 1934
The geology of' the Minaret District is essentially that of an attached roof-pendant of highly-folded Mesozoic strata which have been intruded by granitic rocks and, in part, overlain by much later volcanic materials. The metamorphic rocks consist of meta-volcanic tuffs and ?ows with intercalated limestone and slate.
