The Editors will be grateful for similar help from any clergy men-whose Registers have not yet been copied, or from anyone else who will kindly undertake the task with the necessary permission of the, clergyman of the parish. It is only by such help that it is possible to carry on the work which probably everyone with any knowledge of these valuable records considers necessary for the preservation of the information they contain.
It is advisable to r'epeat the warning that these transcripts are not to be looked upon as evidence in the legal acceptation of the term 5 where such evidence is desired application must be made to the clergy in whose custody the Registers are.
