I am happy, however, in being able to add to the published correspondence of Lord Collingwood. A number of original letters, addressed by him to Sir Edward Blackett, Bart, whose niece Lord Collingwood married, are in the possession of Sir Edward's great-grandson, John Blackett, Esq, late r.n., of Thorpe Lea, Egham, Surrey, and his courtesy privileges me to communicate them for the first time to the public.
