Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from An Archaeological Survey of the United Kingdom, 1896
The following pages are a reprint, from the Tafans actions, of a presidential address delivered at the opening of the last session of the Archaeological Society of Glasgow. It is issued in the present form in the hope of directing attention to the necessity of having an archaeological survey of the United Kingdom carried out by Government on lines similar to those of the topographical and geological surveys, and of further legislation for the protection.
