Papers presented at a 1971 NATO Conference on the the state of the North Sea.This volume evolved from the North Sea Science Conference held under the auspices of the NATO Science Committee at Aviemore, Scotland, on 15-20 November 1971. The conference aimed to create a scientific base to offer direction to the management of North Sea resources, and gather data on threatened marine areas.
