At the Stanislaus Branch Station instruments were installed at the three site factor and competition stations and possible locations selected for a fourth station in virgin timber. Tree growth records were started sufficient ly early to determine when growth starts at each 1000 feet interval from 2000 feet to 6000 feet elevation, inclusive.
